TV Aerials Made Easy

Freesat installation

Free to air channels

With the demise of analogue TV services the BBC and ITV plc, joined together to enable viewers to access their services digitally through 3 different routes. Two non subscription methods in the form of Freeview and a freesat installation and one subscription only via digital cable.

Freesat is the satellite TV service which offers HD digital television through a Digital Box and enables the viewer to access over 150 TV, radio, interactive channels after the initial purchase of the appropriate equipment. The freesat installation service has been available since May 2008 and has provided more widespread coverage and a larger number of channels across the country.Freesat installation, Free sat installations, Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside

Using any standard digital satellite receiver the free-to-air channels can be received, the Freesat project aims to provide a more managed service with an electronic programme guide and interactive features similar to the Freeview service launched in 2005. Some channels are transmitted in regional variations; the appropriate services are selected by the Freesat receiver from the user's postcode.

High definition

Initially BBC HD was the only high-definition channel available this was closely followed by ITV HD, Channel 4 HD and finally NHK World HD was added in May 2011.

Freesat continued to add channels, the BBC began to roll out a beta version of BBC iPlayer, an internet based service with around 400 hours of television being available on demand for Freesat devices in early 2010.

We offer a complete Freesat installation package, our service includes mounting the satellite dish to a suitable surface with a quad LMB, running & pinning two new coax cables to the agreed point (up to 12 meters) and ensuring the coax cables are terminated at the recordable device. We will then test the signal strength and report and finally we will connect the device to the Television and provide a full demonstration ensuring you are familiar with the functions available.

Currently, Freesat offers a line-up of 174 television, radio, on demand and text channels.
